Alfred
Zampa Memorial Bridge
The Alfred Zampa Memorial
Bridge is the only bridge in the U.S. named for a blue collar
worker, a construction worker, an Iron Worker. It represents the men and women
of all
building and construction trades who work on and build these projects which
become
monuments for generations to see and visit.
Without the "Alfred
Zampa Memorial Bridge" a 501c3, non-profit corporation, this bridge
will be just another nameless span. The State will not replace the signs, nor
will they inform
the public of the significance of its name. Think about it - do you know who
the Oakland -
San Francisco Bay Bridge or the Benicia - Martinez Bridge is named for? This
group was
formed so that in 10, 25 or 50 years from now, people will still know this bridge's
name
and recognize the contributions of construction workers to our society.
Please consider helping to perpetuate the name of "The Alfred Zampa Memorial
Bridge"
with a memorial gift made in memory of a friend or loved one.
If you will provide us with the information requested below, we will send the
surviving
friend or family member a card informing them that a donation has been made
in memory
of the deceased. Additionally, we will send you an acknowledgement and receipt
for your
tax-deductible contribution. Your request will be handled promptly and professionally.
Thank you for your generosity
Dick Zampa
